Website Overview In the following website there are four more pages that give you a small image of my current body of work. The first page is of my original collection. It represents a clean fresh minimal series with a vibrant purple, an elegant green and an earth tone brown. These colors also work very well together in a landscape pattern and a mixed pattern refered to as camo. Second is the leaf collection which gives an option of the natural beauty of creation and the intricate geometrically perfect details of common midwestern leaves. There are six options available in a range of sizes. Third is a page giving options for a wonderful selection of dinnerware plus a host of accessories to mix and match with the rest of the collections. The final page gives a brief history of my story and goals plus a calendar of shows, festivals and events. |
Purchasing my Work Please email me if you are interested in purchasing any of the items that are listed on the website. I will be happy to ship the work anywhere you wish. On the last page there is a schedule of my calendar if you would rather touch and see the work before you purchase it plus I hold random events to show and sell my work. You may also come to our home to purchase the work if you are in the area of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Representing my Work through Wholesale Please contact me if you are willing to represent my work in your place of business. I accept about 20 wholesale accounts per year. I have a limited production schedule and only a few new accounts are available for this year, so if you are interested please let me know as soon as possible.

Material and Methods All pieces are made from vitrified stoneware, which is a clay that is fired to 2200 degrees. It in conjunction with the glazes are food safe, lead free, microwaveable and in some cases oven safe. All pieces are constructed first from rolling out a slab of clay, then forming the slab to shape on a self designed form and then a foot is applied using stripes of clay to finish off the construction process. The piece is then left to dry and fired to bisque temperature. Glaze is then applied and the piece is fired again to completion. Recently I have added holes to the foot to make the pieces hangable without disrupting function. My intention of the work is to create work that gives you the opportunity to use the piece in a new way each time it is used or to be in tone to a process to make the presentation better each time. My hope is that you recieve joy through this discovery. |
